An old friend, Jody, found me through my Youtube profile. This is happening more often, as with MySpace – a place I rarely hang around or do much with.
Except, it seems, functioning as a Web 2.0 beacon for myself so that my past friendships can find me. It’s muddy out there, the webscape on which more people surf every day.
I know a few people who haven’t been to Youtube, or know much about it. I wonder whether I’m that guy who finally pushes someone into a world they haven’t been before, or if I’ll be remembered that way. I know I remember some people that way, as “that guy who introduced me to the Internet.” Which is good enough for me.
