Ubuntu-Studio has proven to be a handy little suite for everything you’d want in a home recording studio. Subject: Congratulations to Chris Gkikas on Red Hat Certified Technician certification

Please join me in congratulating Chris Gkikas on his attaining the Red Hat Certified Technician – Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 certification. Chris is looking pretty spiffy walking around with his red fedora!

BTW, as much as I enjoy basking in the glory or Chris’ achievement, I’d really appreciate it if the congrats were directed to him as opposed to a REPLY ALL (and I suspect many of you would too! :>)

It’s extremely cool to get feedback and praise like this.

So now, this makes me, professional-certification-wise,
Chris Gkikas, RHCT, MCSA, A+, Net+, iNet+, Linux+, CNA. Talk about alphabet soup.

Trying out a new Linux distribution. VideoLinux is touted as the one-stop-shop OS alternative for people looking for a pre-packaged desktop loaded with the most industrial-strength video editing, capturing and rendering tools available. Here’s a screenshot. I’m impressed – everything worked right out of the box, a 500Mb iso. Now that’s sexy. What’s coolest is that it comes pre-installed: Cinelerra
